Have you ever wondered why more people aren't riding bicycles in Santa Rosa? We’re mostly flat, we have great weather, tons of families and people who love to be outdoors, and people who care about the environment and global warming. Why aren’t more of us riding our bicycles?

It’s a question I ask myself a lot and it is why I volunteer for the Sonoma County Bicycle Coalition! Cycling is the healthiest, lung friendly form of transportation on the planet. There's no good reason why we can’t be a great cycling city like Davis or Boulder. The problem: The majority of people don't feel safe riding their bicycles.

And we need your help to change that! 

John F Kennedy said “Nothing compares to the simple pleasures of riding a bicycle.” We want everyone to have that feeling.

We want to make it easy to jump on a bicycle to get to where you’re going. We want people to feel safe and comfortable doing so. We believe bicycles can save the world. Will you join us? Your support is so important and together, we can create a city and county where everyone – older people, young people, everyone wants to ride a bike!
